Kiri likes many things, and web design is a very casual hobby that's embodied by this domain. She's a frustrated IT student so this means she can write a little code sometimes. She really enjoys fictional stories, either myths and legends or the usual modern ones. Into manga, anime, video games, books, TV, animation, comics. Mostly fantasy, or at least fantastic enough in both senses of the word. Laughter over wangst kind of gal overall, but balance is also great.
Calls herself an INTP Ravenclaw although some sorting tests put her in Hufflepuff. Might end up claimed by Cabin Eleven of Camp Half-Blood. But that's just a geeky classification of her personality because she's still a Muggle and a mortal.
Mercury-Retrograde.net was registered on September 12th, 2006. It's hosted by Aruba.it. Ironically, that would make the domain a Virgo, so its ruler should be... yes, Mercury.
I used to have a personal domain before: Lovegood.net. In the end, I let it die because while I still love Luna Lovegood, I'm not so much into Harry Potter anymore. So I wanted a pretty domain with shiny words and a hyphen. I ended up buying MRnet. I also owned two anime-manga domains years ago: Hiiragizawa.net and Kimihiro.net. As I'm not in the CLAMP fandom anymore and I was short on cash, I couldn't maintain them anymore and decided to keep only this one.
This is the version #4 and it's just me testing CSS and PHP tricks. I wanted to try a soft, clean look this time. The fonts used for the header were Cooper Std, Lithos Pro, Rockwell, and AstroGadget for the astrological wingdings.
Mercury retrograde. I chose my domain name from an astrologic concept.

Planets are never actually retrograde or stationary, they just seem that way, due to this optical illusion."

However, Mercury retrograde, besides the regular disasters, can also help a lot with introspection. It's ironic, but things like meditation or writing or doing artistic stuff are good things to do when Mercury is "going backwards".
Since this is my personal space of sorts, and Mercury is really important in my astral chart, and the concept of Mercury in retrograde has always been intriguing to me, I thought it'd be a nice name with a cool ring to it :)
